The Surfrider
A gem from the 1950s, The Surfrider hotel has been transformed with modern amenities and chic Cali-cool decor. The property hasn’t lost its vintage charm, though! Situated across the street from Surfrider beach, the spectacular ocean and pier views will make you feel like you’re living in a postcard. Wish You Were Here!
Malibu Farm
Even if you’re only visiting for the day, brunch at Malibu Farm is an absolute must! Check out the restaurant at the start of the pier, or visit their second location at the end of the pier for a more casual cafe environment. Come for the fresh farm-to-table menu, stay for the sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean. Oh, and the Instagram pic of course!
Surfrider Beach
With over 20 different beaches in Malibu, it’s hard to pick a favorite spot for a day in the sand! But Surfrider Beach, known for its famous surf break, is one of the most iconic and is a must-visit. It’s well-situated near the pier for easy access, and perfect for a swim, getting some sun, and surfer-watching.
Malibu Country Mart
Though it’s world-famous, the city of Malibu at its heart really is a small beach town! And there’s no better place to take in the upscale yet laid-back vibe than Malibu Country Mart. Restaurants, art galleries, salons and boutiques all convene in a chic central setting. Do a little window shopping, grab a smoothie, and hey – you might just take in celeb sighting while you’re there. What could be more “Malibu” than that?
Hi L*SPACE fam – Social Content Coordinator, Megan, here! Like many other companies, we’ve been on the work-from-home grind for just over a year now, with team members taking trips to office and offsite for photoshoots as needed. Things are looking up on the Covid front (yay!) but as we head back to “normal” in the next few months, you can be sure my cozy wardrobe staples are coming with me! Here’s a peek into a week in my WFH life, and the comfy pieces I’ve been wearing on repeat.
MONDAY //
The start of a new week means planning, getting organized, and emails (LOTS of them). I always start my day with community management – checking our tagged photos, answering DMs, and connecting with our followers across our various social channels. Then it’s time for a second cup of coffee and content planning and scheduling. The second half of my day is all about content creation, meetings, and working on future brand initiatives. Since I’m not going anywhere today, I’m staying cozy in the Pillow Talk pullover + Sleepin’ In joggers. So cute together, and easy to pair back with other pieces in my closet!
TUESDAY //
Tuesdays are usually pretty meeting-heavy, so I make sure to throw on something comfy since I’ll be at the computer most of my day. I put together a few different reports to analyze social performance and track our brand growth. I’m going to Trader Joe’s to get some groceries after work, so I feel like going all out (lol) with a bodysuit look. The Marilyn one piece swimsuit is my favorite piece to style with mom jeans. I love the puffed sleeves that you can wear on or off the shoulder, and the ruched torso is so flattering!
WEDNESDAY //
I’m going into the office today, so I feel like mixing it up with some “real clothes.” I’m pulling together samples for a photoshoot tomorrow so I want to be comfortable as I dig through boxes and hang clothes. The blue pastel Daydreamin’ crop top and cardigan are giving me the best early ’00s vibes. The matching shorts in this fuzzy set are also super cute, but I’ve opted for some high-waisted jeans to bring this look into 2021.
THURSDAY //
Today I’m going into the studio with our Art Director and Creative Director to shoot product content for our website and social channels. Flat lays all day means stretchy clothes are a must! I’ve thrown the Driftwood button down shirt on over my basic black activewear. It’s been my go-to all season long! I love the corduroy-like texture and cream color – so versatile and pairs well with pretty much everything I own.
FRIDAY //
Made it to Friday! Today I’m doing my usual tasks, uploading our photoshoot images from yesterday, and scheduling content for this weekend. I’m wearing our new Sandpiper ribbed midi dress with a boxy denim jacket – comfy enough for sitting at the computer, but cute enough to wear out. I also love the adjustable ruched slit, which you can bring up or down depending on how much of a baddie you want to be (today’s level: moderate). We’re inviting some friends over for an outdoor get-together by our fire pit, so once that clock hits 5 I’m ready for the weekend in this look!

Through our #LSpaceFitnessFridays series, we’ve grown to appreciate the healing power of movement. Yes, these are stressful times – so don’t forget that a little exercise can go a long way in improving not just your body, but your mental state as well.
Fitness instructor Julia Garcia teaches classes that focus on movement, mindful, and meditation, all while delivering a killer burn. She took over our page for a live 30-minute HIIT Pilates class that did not disappoint, and now she’s sharing some pilates moves that will challenge your abs and improve your posture (much needed after working from home slumped over for a whole year, right?!)

Aloha! My name is Casey Evans, content contributor and bikini enthusiast living on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii. Growing up in sunny San Diego, California, I’ve grown to love the beach lifestyle and about 14 years ago, I moved to Oahu to pursue paradise full time. From year-round beach days to rooftop hangs with the L*SPACE team, I absolutely love living here!
A look into my everyday life – I’m on IG at @itscaseyevans
North Shore is home to one of the biggest food truck cultures and the world’s most famous beaches. Today I’m going to be taking you all around the island and sharing some of my favorite surf breaks, local food spots, and where to find the best tropical cocktail. Keep reading for a list of my go-to spots found all around the island!
ONO SEAFOOD – I don’t know about you, but the first thing I’m craving when I land in Hawaii is some fresh poke. Ono Seafood on Kapahulu street in Honolulu has some of the best poke I’ve ever had. It’s an easy menu with a few selections of ahi and salmon poke, and Japanese-style sides. I love their miso ahi poke and their spicy ahi is well, SPICY! Just the way I like it.
HALEIWA BOWLS – After a long, hot day at the beach I love to cool down with an Acai bowl. Haleiwa Bowls can found just after the historic Haleiwa Bridge, hidden behind a cluster of umbrellas. They have a rainbow selection of Acai bowls topped with tropical fruits like papaya and the sweetest local honey.
ARVO – Have yourself a cup of coffee in the afternoon at Arvo! In the heart of Kakaako, Arvo is home to the best community of friends, coffee, and avocado toast. They feature local chef favorites like ceviche and Japanese-style curry throughout the week.
SURF ‘N’ SALSA – This is the closest you can get to authentic Mexican-style carne asada on the island. If I’m ever homesick for a California-style burrito I like to come here. The portions are huge and a great option after working up an appetite surfing!
DUKE’S – I can’t think of a more legendary cocktail than the Mai Tai. There’s just something about a Mai Tai at Duke’s during a weekend sunset that just hits different. From my experience as a Mai Tai fanatic, I think it might be the splash of guava juice they add to the their recipe that really makes it stand out.
WAIKIKI BEACH – Whether you’re a beginner or ready to hang ten, Waikiki Beach has some of my favorite surf spots. During the summer when North Shore is flat, town swell lights up and everyone of all levels comes out to surf Queens, Canoes, and “Pops.”
KAILUA – The beautiful Mok islands set the backdrop at Lanikai Beach. The sand is so fine and soft, and the water is crystal clean and usually swim-friendly all year round.
WAIMEA BAY – If you’re lucky to come during a winter swell it is such a thrill to watch big wave surfers do their thing. The energy is buzzing during the winter on the North Shore, and in the summer Waimea Bay is home to dozens of dolphins. Do not forget your snorkel mask and fins!
ALOHILANI – Located in the heart of Waikiki, Alohilani is the perfect location, just walking distance to all the beaches and restaurants. The pool bar and lounge deck has such a fun vibe with live music or DJs – not to mention a stunning infinity pool that overlooks Waikiki Beach.
BIKINI BIRD – If you are looking for a new bikini while on vacation, do not forget to stop by Bikini Bird boutique in Kailua. The bikini wall is like a dream come true. They have a gift for featuring local and up-and-coming designers, as well as iconic brands like L*SPACE, so you know you’re getting the latest and greatest in swim!
I hope you get a chance to come visit this slice of paradise and enjoy some of my favorite places!

Warm, sun-soaked days are so close we can feel it! And we’re getting bikini-ready with our latest arrivals from the L*SPACE Beauty & Wellness Shop. This season, our beauty buyers searched high and low for everything from clean and effective skincare, to haircare that gives you that perfect air-dried beachy wave. Shake up your get-ready routine with these new beauty finds you’ll love!
California-based suncare company Sonrei knows a thing or two about safely spending time in the sunshine. Frustrated with sticky, opaque sunscreens, they set out to create a translucent formula that dries to a velvety matte finish. And take it from us, this clear gel SPF will be your new ride or die beach bag essential! It truly lives up to the hype, sticking around through your outdoor adventures without a streak in sight.
Known for their clean ingredients and zero-waste packaging, female-founded body care brand Cleo+Coco needs to be on your radar. We’re especially fond of the Face+Body bar for an all over detox that’s great for all skin types. Activated charcoal helps remove impurities, while the lavender and vanilla essential oils help melt away the stresses of your day. A relaxing nighttime rinse never sounded so good!
R+Co has long been our go-to for long lasting results – after all, the brand is a collective of editorial and salon hairstylists who know a thing or two about quality hair products. Cruelty-free, color-safe, and formulated without damaging sulfates, the Sun Catcher Leave-In Conditioner is a must on hair-washing days. Antioxidant-rich Vitamin C helps protect hair from environmental and UV damage, while Hyaluronic Acid packs a hydrating punch to lock in moisture. Bonus: the unisex fragrance is a fresh-yet-smoky dream.
This one’s for the babes with an oily/combination skin type – finally, a lightweight gel moisturizer that leaves you with the perfect dewy finish. We love Kopari for their luxe coconut water-based formulas, and this one is definitely getting added to our skincare lineup. Packed with stimulating peptides, soothing rose extract, and hydrating hyaluronic acid, it left our skin feeling bouncy and super refreshed.
