Charleston is a great city to visit anytime a year. Last month, I took a ‘staycation’ at Charleston’s newest boutique hotel, The Pinch, where I enjoyed their carefully curated decor, indulged in my wellness routine, and was able to re-discover some of my downtown favorites. Charleston is known for it’s great food scene…. below are some of my favorites you don’t want to miss.
WHERE TO STAY
THE PINCH HOTEL
36 George Street, Charleston
The Pinch Hotel is a new addition to town and it’s right up my alley when it comes to aesthetic for interiors —they offer regular nightly rate as well as 30 day minimum extended stay with a fully functional kitchen and a washer and dryer.
WHERE TO EAT
BABAS ON CANNON
11 Cannon Street, Charleston
I love to start my morning with movement — either at CHARLESTON POWER YOGA or a game or two of tennis. After my workout, my favorite way to treat myself is a stop at Baba’s on Cannon – my favorite drink is their Peanut Mocha
THE POST HOUSE INN
101 Pitt Street, Mount Pleasant
If i’m not hosting, one of my favorite dinners in Charleston is at the Post House Inn. The building is historic, built in 1896, but the design has a charming, contemporary feel. I love their cocktails and fresh, seasonal menu. It’s the perfect place to catch up with friends
232 Meeting Street, Charleston
Food is Good…soooo good! The James Beard award winning chefs.
They source products with integrity, flavor and soul, and incorporate these seasonal offerings into the menu nightly. The result is food that is honest, straightforward and pays homage to the Lowcountry.
*Our little secret (it’s impossible to get a reservation you don’t plan a month ahead) so go stand by the front at 4:30 and you’ll be able to snag one of bar or communal table seats by 5!
OFF TRACK ICE CREAM
6 Beaufain Street, Charleston
My favorite sweet treat in downtown Charleston is Off Track Ice Cream. They have a great selection of both traditional and vegan flavors. I personally love the Mint Chip.
WHERE TO SHOP
They have our swim:)
The Shops at Charleston Place
193 Meeting Street, Charleston
12 Magazine Street, Charleston
My favorite local shop with wonderful gift items and an artsy selection of fashion
314 King Street, Charleston
One stop shop for clothes, jewelry and accessories…a bit overwhelming but you’re guaranteed to find something you like.
The Shops at Shelmore Village
724 S Shelmore Blvd #100, Mt Pleasant
One of my favorite spots for all things beauty
