Athena Calderone in Amagansett

Athena is a lust-worthy muse who I feel honored to know a bit from crossing paths at fashion events. She’s truly an inspiration to follow on Instagram. Her interiors, food and personal style are always on point. She’s stylish without being flashy, loyal and smart…exactly what we look for in our Muses! If you don’t already read her blog, own her cookbook or follow her on Instagram- you really need to check it out! She will inspire you to become a well-styled muse yourself.

To you, Marysia is…

My exclusive swimwear of choice!

Which is your favorite swimsuit from the collection? Favorite hat?

I am obsessed with the Antibes Maillot in the panna. Super elegant! And the Tall Boater is a chic and classic-shaped hat.

What’s your vacation packing strategy?

3 summer dresses that can transition from day to night. 3 bikinis. A beach coverup. A pair of sandals.
A sun hat. A cute pair of sunnies. And a scarf for your head. Ideally all packed in a carry-on. Now if only I listened to my own advice!

How do you style your Marysia pieces with resortwear?

I love to pair my Marysia swimwear with a flowy high-waisted skirt!

How are you spending your summer?

This summer I will be in Amagansett and Montauk mostly. With a few trips to France, LA
and Copenhagen sprinkled in to shoot homes for my next book. An interior decor book!

What is a typical day on Shelter Island like for you?

A typical day in Amagansett begins with a beach walk on the bay, followed by yoga, a little work.
Always a visit to the local farms to scoop up the freshest produce. Late afternoons spent watching my son surf in Montauk.
And cooking dinner at home with friends.

Any tips on how to stay healthy while still enjoying summer’s pleasures?

Tips for remaining healthy: lots of laughter and play with the people you love most, being a bit more carefree and gentle with yourself.
Summer almost demands it!

What is your current favorite recipe this summer?

Favorite seasonal recipes usually involve summer stars like peaches, tomatoes, corn and a slew of fresh herbs.
Like my super simple Peach and Burrata Salad from my cookbook, Cook Beautiful.
